Till by Turning @ the Stone

As part of this month of music co-curated by Sam Kulik and David Garland, Till by Turning will premiere new music by Clara Latham & Katherine Young.

The prorgram included a cycle of pieces by each composer: "Latham's songful experiments carve a liminal space between the strange and the familiar in which lyrical and timbral elements delicate co-existence. Young presents a multi-movement meditation on Quartet for the End of Time, exploring Messiaen's musical materials and time-suspending techniques, while grafting material and mundane apocalyptic suggestions onto and across his religious consciousness."

The cycles both included music for voice and ensemble. Till by Turning's Emily Manzo sung, and Latham joined the ensemble for her pieces.
